The PetSafe Staywell Classic Cat Flap White is a cat flap that will give your pet freedom and independence. This door, wall, or window-mountable cat flap allows your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. You don't have to interrupt your activities to let your pet out, then watch them return to let them in again. The way the flap works is very simple. Your pet simply pushes the transparent flap with their body, and it will raise and lower automatically when they pass through the opening.
The Staywell Classic model has four opening/closing options, which you can adjust using the knob: the door is completely closed (no. 1 on the knob), the cat can enter the house but cannot exit (no. 2), the cat can exit the house but cannot enter (no. 3), and the flap opens in both directions (no. 4). Magnets around the edge of the flap and the opening in the frame hold the flap in place, preventing excess outside air from entering the house.
The Staywell Classic model can be successfully installed indoors to allow your pet access to a room where the door is rarely left open, such as the toilet. It also works well as a balcony door. The Staywell Classic cat flap can be installed in brick walls, wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors, as well as glass doors and windows. Installation is straightforward, and you'll find a special cutting tool and screws included in the kit. Both the frame and flap are made of durable plastic, making the product long-lasting and weather-resistant. The versatile white color complements many interiors.

How to Teach Your Pet to Use the Flap
After installation, leave the flap open for a while (you can attach it to the surface above with a piece of string and tape. Make sure the flap doesn't accidentally fall, as this could scare your pet). Encourage your pet to go through the opening using its favorite food or treats. First, feed your pet at the inside door, then at the outside door. Practice until your pet starts going through without thinking. Then repeat the training with the flap down until your pet masters the maneuver of pushing the door to exit. Pet and reward your pet every time it goes through the door. You can also introduce a fun element into the training, for example, by passing a cat fishing rod.
