The PetSafe Staywell Aluminum 2-Way Pet Door is a durable and flexible solution for giving your pet the freedom to enter and exit your home independently.
Product Description
The PetSafe Staywell Aluminum 2-Way Pet Door is a simple door or wall-mounted accessory that gives your pet freedom and independence. This dog and cat flap allows your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. You don't have to interrupt your activities to let your pet out, and then watch them return to let them in again.
The exceptionally sturdy metal frame with aluminum reinforcement makes it an ideal choice for owners of energetic, active dogs that frequently travel between indoors and outdoors. The door's operation is very simple. Simply push the flexible flap with your pet's body, and it will raise and lower automatically when your pet passes through the opening.
The Staywell Aluminum model has two setting options: the flap opens inwards and outwards, or is completely closed. If you don't want your pet to leave the house for a while, or vice versa, you can completely close the door at any time using the slide-in cover. Importantly, the flap doesn't swing, but stops flush with the frame, and a built-in magnet holds it in place. This closing system prevents excess outside air from entering the house and accidental opening of the flap, for example, during strong winds.
Additionally, the edges of the flap are surrounded by a soft strip, which increases protection against drafts and reduces the noise level of the flap. The transparent material evokes associations with a window and makes it easier for your pet to push the flap into the right place. However, the Staywell Aluminium model can be successfully installed indoors to allow your pet access to a room where the door is rarely left open, such as a toilet. It also works well as a balcony door.
Sizes
The Staywell Aluminium cat and dog gate is available in four sizes – S, M, L, and XL. It can be installed in brick walls, as well as wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors. Installation is straightforward, and a special punch and screws are included. Fits doors and walls 1cm-5cm thick. The flap is made of durable plastic, making the product long-lasting and weather-resistant. Available in a universal white color.

Training Your Pet
How do you train your pet to use the pet door? After installing the pet door, leave the flap open for a while (you can attach it to the surface above with a piece of string and tape. Make sure the flap doesn't accidentally fall, as this may scare your pet). Encourage your pet to go through the opening using their favorite food or treats. First, feed your pet at the inside door, then at the outside door. Practice until your pet walks through the door without hesitation. Then repeat the training with the flap down until your pet masters the maneuver of pushing the door open. Pet and reward your pet every time it goes through the door. You can also incorporate a playful element into the training, for example, by throwing a ball through the door for the dog or passing a cat fishing rod through it.
