The PetSafe Petporte Cat Smart Flap is an electronic, intelligent cat flap that will give your pet freedom and independence. This cat flap, which can be mounted on a door, wall, or window, allows your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. The flap only allows entry to cats with a microchip embedded in the flap's "memory." - Night Mode - when darkness falls, the system blocks your cat's access. At dawn, the lock is released, allowing your pet to re-enter the house.
- Set Light Level - decide how much light will lock and unlock the flap.
- Timer Mode - you can also manually set the time for the flap to lock and unlock.
- Vet Mode - if you don't want your cat to leave the house, for example, before a planned vet visit, this mode prevents your pet from going outside, and the flap lock will remain active until you deactivate it.
- Lock Return Time - By default, the flap remains unlocked for 4 seconds after detecting a registered microchip. If your cat needs more time to pass through the opening or is frequently chased by other animals and you don't want its tormentors to follow it into the house, you can change the time after which the flap will be locked.
- Key Pad Lock - prevents use of the control panel. This protects the flap from being changed by children, for example.
- Silent Mode - By default, a short beep indicates a successful chip scan. Silent Mode turns this beep off.
- Open Mode - allows all pets to pass through the flap, regardless of whether they have a chip or not.
To activate the flap, connect it to a mains power supply (cable with plug included) or insert four 6LR21 9V batteries. A soft strip surrounds the opening in the frame, providing protection from cold/hot outside air and reducing the flap's noise. The Petporte Smart Cat Flap by PetSafe can be installed in brick walls, wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors, as well as glass doors and windows (single and double glazed). Installation is straightforward, and a special punch and screws are included. The integrated 6.5cm tunnel makes installation easy in thick walls and doors.
