The free-falling stream of fresh water encourages cats and dogs to drink more, which helps prevent urinary tract infections and kidney disease. Constant circulation adds more oxygen to the water and inhibits bacterial growth. The Outlast Pet Fountain holds 1.7L of water and utilizes innovative, patented HydroSpin™ technology – a unique cone mechanism that constantly circulates water and forces it through the filtration system, without the need for a pump. This extends the fountain's lifespan and significantly simplifies cleaning, as the number of electrical components has been reduced to a minimum.
The quiet motor is built with high-quality stainless steel ball bearings and is housed in a dry chamber inside the fountain, meaning it never requires cleaning. To extend the life of the motor, the waterer automatically shuts off when the water level gets too low. The waterer creates a stream of water that spreads across the entire surface of the upper tray, allowing your pet to drink directly from the spout or as if from a traditional bowl. Under the spout is a sloping ramp – a special elevation that allows water to flow smoothly into the tray. This prevents the water jet from violently colliding with the surface, thus preventing splashing around the fountain.
The transparent reservoir allows you to conveniently monitor the water level in the waterer and refill it at the right time. Additionally, the LED backlight makes it easy to check the water level from a distance and at night – when the water level is sufficient, the backlight turns blue; when the water level is low, the LED glows red. If the water runs out completely, the light will remain red and the fountain motor will stop.
The PetSafe Outlast cat and dog water fountain is equipped with an ion-exchange carbon filter that traps impurities, removes unpleasant tastes and odors, and softens the water. This makes the water healthier and leaves no limescale residue. Compared to a traditional bowl, where most of the dirt and pet saliva tend to accumulate at the bottom, the fountain requires less frequent cleaning. However, when it's time to clean, the fountain can be easily and quickly disassembled, and all components except the motor are dishwasher safe.
The Outlast fountain's stable construction prevents the bowl from tipping or moving during voracious drinking. The fountain is powered by electricity from a laptop or power bank via a USB port, and using an adapter and interchangeable plugs, you can connect it to the nearest household outlet. The set includes four plug types: European, British, American, and Australian. Thanks to this, you can use the fountain during longer trips or when moving to another country.

Tip: To maintain the fountain's proper performance for as long as possible, replace the filters regularly. Recommended replacement frequency for the ion exchange carbon filter: every 2-4 weeks.
