The fountain has an adjustable flow rate, so you can gradually introduce your pet to a new form of water or adjust the flow rate to your pet's preferences. You can also completely shut off the flow at any time, allowing your dog or cat to drink as if from a traditional bowl. A sloping ramp—a special elevation—is located under the spout, allowing water to flow into the bowl.
