The harness comes with two D-rings and a short leash with a handle. Depending on your preference, you can attach the leash with a carabiner to the front or rear ring, or the handle side to your car's seat belt. You can also use the handle to help a clumsy or sluggish pet get in and out of the vehicle, or hold them close to your leg if necessary. A handle on the back provides an even closer grip. For a walk or jog, simply attach a standard leash.
If your dog tends to pull hard on the leash, this harness will help you teach them better manners during walks. The Martingale attachment on the chest gives the owner greater control over their pet – when the dog pulls intensely, a small section of the front strap tightens, exerting gradual pressure on the animal's shoulders. Don't worry about the strap pressing against your pet's neck, as you would with a standard collar. No-pull harnesses don't cause a choking hazard. When the leash is attached to the front of the harness, you can gently guide your dog, letting them know which direction to go.
The PetSafe 3in1 Harness & Car Restraint is made of densely woven nylon webbing lined with soft neoprene for even greater comfort. All connectors, adjustment buckles, and a snap hook are made of solid metal. Five adjustment points allow for a perfect fit. The three-strap snap buckle makes putting on and taking off the harness significantly easier. Reflective stitching increases visibility and safety after dark.
