Description
The NBV series direct-acting germicidal lamps provide effective microbiological cleanliness for various room sizes and uses.
The appropriate power of a direct-acting germicidal lamp depends on many factors, including the shape and size of the room (primarily its height). Furthermore, the degree to which walls and objects in the room reflect light should also be taken into account. Parameters such as humidity, air dust level, and microbial resistance are also important. As you can easily see, it's difficult to precisely determine how many NBV series direct-acting germicidal lamps should be installed in a given room.
Generally speaking, sufficient microbiological cleanliness can be achieved by installing in a room with a height of 2.5 to 3 meters:
- A 15W lamp for an area of up to 8 square meters
- Two 15W lamps for an area of up to 12 square meters
- A 30W lamp for an area of up to 15 square meters
- Two 30W lamps for an area of up to 22 square meters
The duration of a direct-acting germicidal lamp depends on the type of room and its intended use. For example, in patient rooms, treatment rooms, and operating rooms, lamps are turned on for 2 to 8 hours. However, to disinfect a room (for example, during a break between procedures), this type of equipment is turned on for approximately 15-20 minutes.
