The Kurgo Impact Dog Car Harness has been developed over 8 years and is constructed to provide your pet with maximum safety. The front of the harness is reinforced with 1814kg-rated metal webbing, which protects the chest and internal organs from crushing. It doesn't require any accessories to attach to the car seat belt, and all buckles and fasteners are made of steel. The harness is easy to keep clean: simply spot-clean stains or hand-wash the entire harness using a mild detergent.
This harness has been subjected to rigorous crash tests, similar to those for child safety seats, at the University of California, Buffalo, and has passed the laboratory test procedure for pet safety harnesses. Dynamic crash tests were conducted in accordance with the federal safety standard FMVSS 213, designed to protect children and can also be used on dogs.
Attaching the Harness to the Car Seat Belt:
Put the harness on your dog, making sure to adjust the size precisely using the four-point adjustment. The harness should be neither too tight nor too loose. Then, thread the straps located at the back of the harness through both parts of the belt (the straps that normally run across the chest and waist on a human).
Tip: The manufacturer recommends using the harness only while traveling in the car. For walks longer than walking from the car to the mixer, we recommend using other harnesses, such as the Kurgo Air Harness.
