Traveling safely by car is a serious matter, especially when you're traveling with your beloved pet. Whether it's a vacation, a Saturday trip out of town, or just a short trip to the vet, ensuring your pet's safety is crucial. While there are special carriers for safely transporting pets, most owners of small dogs prefer to have their pets close by, within reach. That's why Hurtta decided to produce a travel harness for dogs designed for cars – the Hurtta Travel Harness Eco.

The Hurtta Travel Harness Eco is the result of three years of work and 10 different crash tests, including those for child seats. Dynamic crash tests were conducted in accordance with ECE R44.04 test conditions in Finland and China. With a harness from Hurtta, you'll ensure your pet travels safely and comfortably, allowing you to focus on driving. The very high-quality workmanship of all harness components, without cutting corners, will meet even the highest expectations.
The harness's design allows it to be attached to the car's seat belts. In the event of sudden braking or an accident, the seat belt retractors lock and hold the dog close to the seat, ensuring the pet remains in place without sliding around the car. Your pet can travel in it however they like: sitting, standing, or lying down. A sturdy metal D-ring lets you attach a leash and use it as a regular stroller harness. The opening through which you thread the car's seat belt also serves as a handle for holding the dog. Adjustments at the chest, neck, and waist allow for a precise fit of the Travel Harness to the dog's body.

The outer layer is made of soft, waterproof neoprene covered with a layer of durable polyester fabric. The underside of the harness is lined with breathable air-mesh, ensuring good ventilation. All straps are made of stretch- and tear-resistant nylon. The harness is very comfortable to wear and extremely easy to put on and take off. It fastens with strong metal buckles. A reflective pin ensures visibility.
The harness has been tested for trouble-free, long-term use. Tensile strength and durability at critical points are ensured by the use of special stitching and confirmed by a certificate of compliance with the SFS-EN ISO 13934-1 harness strength requirements. The materials used in the harness are free of toxic substances and meet strict Bluedesign® standards, which focus on sustainable chemistry to ensure the highest level of safety for people, animals, and the environment. The metal hardware has been tested for corrosion in accordance with the EN ISO 9227:2017 (E) standard.
