Groom Professional Thornit Ear Powder 100g – Infection-Preventing Healing Formula for Ears and Skin

    Description

Groom Professional Thornit is a versatile powder for dogs, cats, and rabbits that treats and prevents infections in the ears, skin, and anus.

Groom Professional Thornit is a powder for the ears, skin, and anus for dogs, cats, and rabbits. It treats and prevents infections. The product soothes and eliminates irritation inside the ears and unpleasant ear odors. It provides relief from ear infections. It can also be used on other parts of the body.

    Ears:

Superficial otitis media is caused by mites that dogs "catch" from grass, often indirectly from foxes. The most common form is brownish, waxy crusts inside the ears. These are caused by mites that forage in the dark. The crusts can be dry or slightly oozing, causing a noticeable odor. Another type is more offensive and foul-smelling, with the odor of a rotting wound and festering. In both cases, symptoms include scratching, head shaking, rubbing the ears on the floor, and general irritability. Constant scratching can cause bloody abrasions, inflammation, and blood clots. Standard treatment with drops or antibiotics provides only temporary relief. Thornit contains no antibiotic, so its use is absolutely safe. Iodomethane (iodoform) was used in early dentistry. Australian veterinarians have isolated mites from the Acari order, which cause severe agitation and fatigue in dogs that are constantly on the move, scratching and biting all parts of their bodies. Vets say the insects feed on dandruff. They are tiny and highly mobile. Shampooing is useless. Treatment: Thornit powder.

    Anus:

If the animal drags its hindquarters on the floor, and this is not a disease of the perianal glands, mites may have settled under the tail. Treatment: Apply a thin layer of gentle cream to a finger or glove and immerse it deeply in the powder. Apply it exactly where necessary, below the tail.

    Paws:

Mites can get between the claws, first causing constant licking, then causing dogs to become upset and tired, then pulling out their fur, and finally biting themselves. Treatment: Place a plastic bag with a small amount of Thornit powder on the paws. Apply the powder between the claws, on the pads, and on the legs a little higher up the paws.

    Important:

Only a very small amount of Thornit is used for all applications. Be careful, as iodomethane (Iodoform) may stain light-colored carpet or other fabrics.

    Directions for use:

Excess moisture can be gently removed with a cotton swab. DO NOT REMOVE THE WAX. Under normal circumstances, the powder should NOT be applied to the inside of the ear, but the brown wax acts as a stopper. Hold the animal in a comfortable position (lying on its side). With cats, this may be difficult and assistance may be needed. Soothe your pet with petting and apply a pinch of powder using the tip of a spoon. Sprinkle a small amount around the inside of the ear (the inner ear area), avoiding getting the powder into the ear opening. Gently massage from the outside with your fingers. Apply Thornit twice daily. The first dose will provide relief, but treatment should be continued for 1-5 days (usually 3). When brown wax begins to exude (flow out), discontinue treatment. This means the mites have been killed, and the wax will flow out with the powder, leaving the ear clean. A pinch of Thornit in each ear once a week will protect your pet from reinfection. For breeds with long ears, it's a good idea to dip the tip of the ear in Thornit once a week.
