Directions for use:
Before using the FURminator for Long-Haired Dogs, read the instruction manual carefully. It is recommended to use the FURminator tool 1-2 times a week, for no longer than 10-20 minutes. However, deShedding times may vary depending on the condition, coat thickness, and breed of the individual. More frequent use of the undercoat tool may be necessary during shedding season.
Steps for Using the FURminator for Dogs L:
STEP 1: Before beginning the treatment, carefully inspect your pet for bruises, wounds, or other skin issues. Then, brush the coat, paying particular attention to untangling any knots. Using the tool on tangled hair can damage it by breaking off the teeth.
STEP 2: Begin deShedding: Gently move the tool through the pet's coat in the direction of hair growth, starting at the nape of the neck and gradually moving towards the tail. Use long, gentle strokes, as if brushing. Although the SkinGuard feature prevents the tool's teeth from digging into the skin, brushing too deeply or too vigorously can cause irritation, especially when working on your pet's belly, legs, or intimate areas.
