The product does not prevent overheating in the car. Regularly check the product for damage and replace it if necessary. The animal's long and sharp claws can cause holes. Covering the product with a towel or similar material reduces the risk of holes, but also reduces the cooling effect. Do not use in direct sunlight, do not use or store at temperatures above 45°C. The gel filling turns into a liquid when exposed to excessive heat, as a result of which the product loses its cooling properties.
