Stainless steel care and cleaning
Stainless steel, like any other surface, must be cleaned to maintain optimal hygiene, appearance and durability.
- Periodically wash surfaces with water and neutral soap until dirt is removed.
- Use cloths and/or sponges that will not scratch stainless steel.
- Always rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.
- Final drying improves the appearance of the surface.
Precautions
- Do not use bleach.
- Never use carbon steel tools on stainless steel, as this can cause contamination resulting in oxidised orange stains.
